Dinner: 1:12:00-1:20:00

Mary: *Wakes up, tied to a chair in the backrooms.*

Clark: Repeating the same problems. Reaching for the same solutions.Over, and over again. Still, it's the neural pathway of least resistance. The one I made, the one that kept me safe when I was a child. You know, I learned to push people away before they could hurt me. And now, as an adult, I'm still stuck right where I started. Alone.

Mary: What is this?

Clark: It's a real mess. Am I right?

Mary: Clark. Let me help you. Before you do anything you can't take back.

Clark: Answer the question.

Mary: Yes, it's a real mess.

Clark: But also beautiful, in a way. No?

Mary: *Looks at the still lives.* Who are these people?

Clark: This place builds them. Or actually more like it... remembers them. And the more times it remembers something, the less it does. *Points his hand to one of the still lives.* Somewhere out there is a guy in a striped shirt, but in here he's... remembered. Just slightly wrong. *Points to a man in a wheelchair.* Somewhere out there is a man in a wheelchair and a lamp. *Looks at a woman still life.* I'm pretty sure that's how you get all of this. All these places and rooms and buildings... misremembering themselves.

Mary: Clark. Let's talk this through.

Clark: In some ways, they're an improvement on the originals. *Stands up and walks up to a still life with a fork.* For starters, they can't feel anything. *Sticks the fork into the still life's throat.

Mary: *Gasps.*

Clark: Can you imagine how good that must feel? *Laughs.* I mean, there's no thoughts, no pain, no ego, no fear. They simply... exist. Like... like furniture. Look at this, best part. *Rips the still life's shirt off.* You can eat them. *Rips out multiple pieces of stomach made of foam from the still life and places it on plates and laughs. He walks over the fridge, opening it, and inside is Kat's head.*

Mary: *Pants heavily, trying to get out of the chair.*

Clark: Oh, this is my... assistant manager. I tried to help her but she just-

Mary: Clark! If you untie me, we can talk this through. Get you feeling better.

Clark: Yeah, well what if I did untie you? You know, what then? You'd run around like a chicken with its head cut off looking for a way out. You'd end up in the same place you are now. Like the... path thing you're always talking about.

Mary: Clark! I just want to help you. Just tell me what you need. I-I I'll do it.

Clark: Yeah?

Mary: Yeah! Yes, please!

Clark: *Sighs.* Okay. Well I want you to tell me I didn't do anything wrong. You know, that you were wrong about me.

Mary: I was wrong about you! I was. I was wrong about you.

Clark: No no, not like that. Not so fast, okay? I mean, I want to set the scene first. Let's start, um, on the night that, uhh, that I got kicked out of my own house. Huh? It was late. A lot darker. *Looks back at the woman still life.*  Lights please.

Woman still life: *Stays still.*

Clark: *Laughs.* I tried this exercise with her before. It doesn't go anywhere. *Sighs* Fine, I'll do it myself. *Stands up and walks over to the light switch.* It's still my house, after all. *Turns off the lights.*

Still life in wheelchair: *Turns on the lamp on his wheelchair.*

Clark: Thank you. It's better. There is still something off. *Walks over the striped still life and rips off the fork.*

Mary: Clark, please.

Clark: *Cuts off the woman still life's scalp, walking over to mary and putting it on her.*

Mary: No, please, don't, don't.

Clark: *Puts on the hair anyway and walks over to his chair and sits down.* *(Roleplay) I'm sorry. I'm sorry I... broke the glass and woke you up. I know how you like to sleep early. I was at the store late. I guess I lost track of the time. I was checking the inventory, but I stopped off for a few beers.

Mary: Clark...

Clark: Barbara! I was checking the inventory... then I stopped off for a few beers.

Mary: D- Define a few.

Clark: As many as I wanted. Because this is my house. I pay for it. I pay for everything. I pay for you to go to school. I pay for your time off school. I pay for the roof over your head! You want kids right? Well that takes money. So someone has to work around here! I said someone has to get off their fatass and work around here!

Mary: Just because you didn't get to be an architect-

Clark: I am a fucking architect. I'm just stuck selling shit furniture, because someone won't get off their fat fucking ass and help me!

Mary: I'm not your wife!

Clark: Stay in character!

Mary: *Shakes off the hair.*

Clark: Stay in character!

Mary: I've never even met her!

Clark: STAY IN CHARACTER!

Mary: Fuck you!

Clark: *Pauses.* What did you say?

Mary: You want to know the real reason your wife left you? It wasn't the drinking or the stumbling home at all hours or the rage. It was the whining! Nothing's ever your fault, is it? You drink too much, blame your job. You hate your job, blame the world. You get kicked out of the house, blame your wife. You attack me and tie me up, blame your brain. You are your fucking brain, you dipshit!

Clark: You saying this is my fault?

Mary: Yes! But it's just the way you're wired, isn't it? ISN'T IT?

Clark: *Breathes heavily.* How do I stop doing that?

Mary: Honestly, I have no fucking idea. I can't help you clark. As much as I tried... it's just not up to me. I can't save anyone.

Clark: You know... I don't think I want to change.

Mary: Then don't.

Clark: *Tears* I like it in here... for the first time in a long time, I feel like I'm right where I'm supposed to be.

Mary: Then... stay. Right where you are. But let me go.

Clark: *Stands up, walking up to mary with a knife and begins untying her.*

Woman still life: *Slowly looks up and runs into the corner of the room, screaming.*

Captain Clark: *Slowly walks into the room.*

Clark: *Walks up to Captain Clark.* What are you doing in here?

Captain Clark: *Comes closer.*

Clark: This is mary, she's our therapist. She was just leaving.

Captain Clark: *Comes even closer.*

Clark: No no. You don't have to worry. She says we don't need to change.

Captain Clark: *Lifts Clark.*

Clark: It's okay... it's just the way we're wired.

Captain Clark: *Bites Clark in the shoulder, decapitating him.*
